Every large city in Korea has a tall tower that serves two purposes: radio signals and incredible views.  On Sunday evening after our DMZ tour we hiked up to Seoul Tower for dinner and some perspective on this sprawling metropolis.

We got there just in time to see the late winter sunset…

On the main platform surrounding the tower, we found these tree-shaped sculptures and couldn’t resist taking some pictures.  I’m not sure the Korean woman appreciated being my model.

Getting closer, we found thousands of hearts locked onto the structures, inscribed with some sort of wish.  When you lock your heart at the foot of Seoul Tower, do you give the key to your special someone?  It’s a mystery.

After an incredible Italian dinner on the tower, we took in the lights of the city.

It was a lovely way to end our day.
